Which Foods Cause Constipation?

Research Shows Constipation is Caused by Common Foods

Constipation causes untold pain, distress and damage to the small intestine. This is on top of the bloated belly, blue moods and frustration. But which foods cause it?

From the medical research we now know there are around twenty main suspects. The thing is - they act together in various combinations to wreak havoc and cause bodily damage.

Food toxins in nightshades, grains, legumes and milk products damage the small intestine - slowing its ability to function . . . leading to constipation.

What is the definition of Constipation?

Constipation is defined as fewer than three bowel motions per week.

ColonConstipation is a very troublesome and distressing intestinal symptom.

The muscle of the large intestine (colon) becomes sluggish and cannot move the body's waste products through at the usual rate. Too much water is removed in the colon - and stools become dry, hard and very difficult to move. Sufferers have difficulty eliminating waste - and commonly strain the muscles and tissues involved - creating further damage.

If left untreated - constipation leads to other symptoms:

    • Rectal and anal pain and spasms
    • Haemorrhoids or swollen rectal blood vessels
    • Chronic belly pain
    • Abdominal bloating
    • Depression and/or anxiety

Research now shows that the inability to fully digest some foods (food intolerance) causes constipation.

How common is Constipation?

Prevalence of constipation is difficult to measure - due to under-reporting. However - research indicates prevalence of constipation is significant.

It is estimated about 20% of people are constipated - with women being slightly more affected than men. In aged care facilities the incidence is much higher - brought about by medications.

The use of laxatives increased with age and 22% and 10% of elderly women and men, respectively, used laxatives including bulking agents for at least every fourth toilet procedure.

In another study of over 4,000 babies less than two years old it was found that between 3 and 10% suffered from constipation.

Research on the effects of FOOD TOXINS confirms their involvement in constipation.

But a move to a simple LOW TOXIN DIET can bring fast and permanent relief. Learn about foodintol® LoTox Living

Why did I get constipation?

Most cases of constipation are from eating food toxins. We cannot digest these - and they cause damage and disruption in the small intestine. This in turn has effects on other parts of the intestine - and the whole body.

FOOD TOXINS are 'foreign' proteins - and they trigger immune responses: e.g. inflammation and damage to bodily tissues.

Why do I have bad responses to food toxins? Don't worry - most people do - though they are probably unaware.

The effect is genetic - it's in your genes! You got it from your parents, grandparents and great grandparents. And if you have children - you have already passed on that same genetic material to the next generation.

This is a strong reason to learn about food toxins - and pass it on to other family members.

How do you treat Constipation?

Temporary relief treatment: You can use medications or supplements from the pharmacy for temporary relief. Some people choose to use probiotics thinking that will help.  But many are made with ingredients which cause constipation in the first place. Unfortunately - few doctors ever realise there could be a food sensitivity at the root of constipation - because food intolerance is not taught extensively in medical schools.

Permanent Cure: Go to the source of the problem ... the actual cause of your constipation. learn how to REDUCE FOOD TOXINS in your diet. It's easy! These days there are so many great food options - it's simple to substitute the problem ones. And the good news is - constipation begins healing within days.

'I have done the journal and found to my surprise that after 56 years of being constipated (going once a week/fortnight from a young child) to going every day.

It's a miracle AND I have been suffering from insomnia (thought to be hormone related) for 7/8 years and am now sleeping every night like a log.  I am extremely happy and want to thank you for your help.

My daughter had done the program and suggested I try it.  I am very glad I did.... my life has been turned around.  Thanks - Lesley : )'

What are the consequences of Constipation?

Please don't leave it untreated. Constipation can progress into quite serious disease.

Without attention you may develop any of the following:

  • Headaches, migraines
  • Poor resistance to infection, mouth ulcers, colds and 'flu
  • Anal pain or spasms, haemorrhoids
  • Tiredness, chronic fatigue, 'brain fog'
  • Depression, mood swings, cravings

There are more than twenty food toxins . . . and they act together in various combinations to cause internal damage that makes us sick – and leads to diagnosis of disease.

The Institute’s eighteen years of helping clients has shown - the most effective approach is to move to a LOW-TOXIN DIET.

We have found the best results come by using a journal – and with moderation … that is a diet which allows some favourites while greatly reducing the level of toxins in the blood . . Find out more at foodintol® LoTox Living

When will I be cured of Constipation?

Here at foodintol® we don't regard constipation as a disease. It is the result of poisoning by food toxins.

So it does not need drugs to be 'cured'.

  • You will be 'cured' when you avoid the culprit food toxins
  • No drugs, treatments or surgical procedures are needed - just the right fresh foods

As you know - your body's individual immune response to food toxins is in your genes - and you cannot change those.

Just like blue eyes or freckles - you got your genes from your parents, grandparents and other ancestors. And if you have children – you have already passed on those genes to them. So it's a good idea to alert them to the possibility that they are sensitive to food toxins too.

A Balanced Approach

Lack of exercise and certain medications can be part of the problem. But there are plenty of world-class athletes who are unaware of the impact of food toxins - and continue to suffer constipation. So no amount of exercise will fix your constipation if you are still eating the culprit FOOD TOXINS.

Troublesome high toxin food groups include:

  • Milk products
  • Legumes
  • Nightshades vegetables
  • Grass (gluten) grains like wheat, rye and barley
  • Nuts
  • Food additives
  • Sugars in excess

However - constipation is easily healed by USING MODERATION to start avoiding those foods. The downside is - if these symptoms are ignored - they can develop into chronic inflammatory disease such as ulcerative colitis, bowel cancers, Crohn's disease and others.

We recommend a PLANNED LOW TOXIN DIET. Learn about foodintol® LoTox Living

Delayed reactions

Another reason constipation is difficult to solve is because the reaction may happen up to two or three days after the food is eaten. That means whatever causes your constipation on Tuesday could well have something to do with what you ate the Friday before - or on the weekend.

I am ready for an immediate solution - what's next?

Begin with our free ebook. Food toxins can cause serious long-term health problems. Gluten is just one toxin that could be causing your symptoms. There are more than twenty common FOOD TOXINS – and they act together in different combinations to damage cells and provoke the immune system.
